Haiku

Back in my radio days, I loved the challenge of writing thirty second spots. The approach demanded discipline. And cadence. There was no room to dawdle as words and time were precious commodities. And so it is with Haiku poetry where every syllable requires power and presence. Its 5-7-5 sylable format beckons the best of one’s vocabulary and frequent visits to thesaurus dot com.
